"A man climbs a mountain because it is there. An artist makes a work of art because it is not there." Carl Andre
About Me....
As long as I can remember I always wanted to be an artist. I started art lessons at the age of 7 from a local artist. The love of art continued and as I entered the upper grades I took every Art class available. I went on and achieved my degree in Art Education. From there I have worked in the Art field in many different ways... an Illustrator for a publishing company, Graphic Designer, Interior Designer, Muralist, Art Teacher, Sign Painter, Marketing Manager, Social Media Creator, and more, I've displayed my art in more than 6 states, from South Dakota to Florida.
Growing up in the rolling hills of Northern Missouri had instilled in me a love for nature, from where I began the creation of my art. During my Winter visits to ski Colorado is where I found my deepest inspirations. I knew, one day I would make these beautiful Rocky Mountains my home. Finally, in 2016, after some life changes I was able to make my dream a reality.
"It was when life gave me mountains, that I came to the mountains and found my life." Elizabeth Porter
